Typical freely moving animal setup consists of excitation light source, fluorescent mini cube, amplified photodiode module, fiber-optic rotary joint, optical cannula and connecting optical patch cords as shown on schematics.
As fluorescent signal is very weak, careful selection of each component is critical to minimize noise levels.
- For accurate In-vivo fluorescence mesurements on freely moving animal, we strongly recomend you choice Doric Rotary joint and Optical Fiber Systems using with below products.
- The amplified photo diode module integrates silicon photo diode and low noise current-to-voltage amplifier.
- A fiber connectorized cube that incorporates a dichroic mirror and bandpass filters to filter the excitation source and fluorescence emission.
